Start a Chapter

Forming a Chapter of Silence Hurts at your Local Institution

  1. Determine what is the right choice for your institution: For some schools, starting education programs within their health classes is far more beneficial. For others, starting their own club will allow students to join the fight against gender violence.  Talk to your administer about forming a club/chapter.
  2. Find a sponsor: A sponsor is an administer, teacher, or adult through which students and children can operate their club. They sign all legal or education-related documents at the specified institution’s chapter.
  3. Contact us: Once you get in touch with you, your chapter can get straight to work with educational materials, lesson plans, and goals in order to spread the word about gender violence.
